Our apple wood is from our orchard located in New York State,
organic,
pesticide and herbicide free. All
hand pick,
washed, heated dried, untreated, no chemicals added.
Some new shoots have an cover-layer of silver fuzz which chinchillas love. (
See picture.)
They are cut into lengths between 2" and 4". Bits and Tips are new shoots or spurs that are 2" long or less. Coins are between 1/4" and 1/2" long (thick).

Diameter Ranges:
3/16 in. includes 3/16" or less.
1/4 in. ranges from 3/16" to 5/16"
3/8 in. ranges from 5/16" to 7/16"
1/2 in. ranges from 7/16" to 5/8"
3/4 in. ranges from 5/8" to 7/8"
Coins are between 1/2" and 1 1/4" (about 80 to 100 slices)
Bits and tips are 1/2" or less
Sample Pack contains Apple sizes: 3/16 in. x 50 pcs, 1/4 in. x 15 pcs, 3/8 in. x 10 pcs, and combined 1/2 and 3/4 in. x 5 pcs.
Pear is diameters 1/4" and less. (about 200 sticks per 6 oz)
Hawthorn (Thorn Apple) is mixed sizes of 5/8" diameter and less, about 100 to 160 sticks.
Scraps Pack is 5 lbs mix of seconds and
end cuttings; different sizes, shapes.
